I understand that the Rent Bank is for those experiencing temporary financial difficulty who are behind in their rent, utilities, or need to move into more suitable housing. To be approved for funding, I will be required to provide proof that I will be able to pay for my housing in the future.

I understand that I will need to demonstrate that I can pay my rent and utilities in the future with my current income.

I understand that I am required to utilize all other suitable options for resolving my current arrears, including contacting my landlord and/or utility provider to try and work out a payment arrangement, before applying to the Rent Bank. I will also need to take advantage of alternative financial support programs and services identified by the Program Delivery Officer before being considered for Rent Bank funding.

I understand that the Rent Bank is only to be used as a "last resort".

I understand that the Program Delivery Officers will support me through the application process and are not responsible for any final decisions of Rent Bank funding. However, any form of harassment, discrimination, or verbal mistreatment of program staff members may result in my funding application being denied.

I agree that I will respect the staff of the Rent Bank Program and understand that I have the right to expect the same respect from the staff of the Rent Bank Program.
